Multiplication Arrays
A little video to help us learn about making arrays.
We will be working with a couple new websites starting today. Today marks the beginning of our multiplication unit and my favorite website for the students to practice on is http://www.multiplication.com/.
For writing, I am going to have the students try creating a story on http://www.studentpublishing.com/. Each student has a storybook ID that starts with the code BA0087. The last 3 digits (2 numbers and a letter) are exclusive to each student and they should have their code written in their planner. For example, my code would be something like BA008721H.
Hi Parents,
Your child/ren has a new account on the xtra math website. Here is the link: https://www.xtramath.org/. This website will help your students build their mental math skills.
You can go here to vote by submitting the proper code. http://www.polleverywhere.com/vote or you can also text the code to 37607. We will look at the results tomorrow.
Our kids learned how to use a program today called sumdog (www.sumdog.com) to practice math facts. Your child should have their username and password written in their planner. You can use this screencast as a tutorial to help you help your child get onto to sumdog at home. Have fun! http://screencast.com/t/ggSSpTkih
This classroom blog is intended to help my 3rd graders connect with other students and people all over the world. Our school year begins on Tuesday, August 21. Help us track your location by adding a pin and your location to our google map. I can't wait to share this travel blog with my students on Tuesday. Thanks for your visit! Let the global connecting begin!
